2006-7 Meetings

	Present - Sian (chair), Amy, Kieran, Ben, Levi, Elle, Sally-Ann, Evan, Nia, Elijah, Callum , Chloe, Mr Farmer, Mrs Jenkins and Mrs Barlow.
	Visitors - Ellis, Thomas and Israr.

	Chair opened meeting, our visitors along with Sian fed back to the council about their trip to Swansea Liberty Stadium to represent themselves to the Wales commissioner, they said how useful it was and that they were glad to have a say about certain issues. Chair dismissed the visitors once finished.
	Minutes were read from last meeting.
	The group talked about the cluster council launch day it was discussed that Year 5 & 6 representatives will be attending on 9^th February.
	Mr Berry joined the meeting the children talked about their roles and responsibilities as council members and what they think they should do if someone or themselves was being bullied Mr Berry asked them who would they tell.
	The councillors talked about the buddy system being set up. It was suggested that the children could fill an application form in for the job and anyone could apply in the juniors. Talked about peer mediation.
	The children discussed the schools rules and about revising them and that the children having a say about them. Some ideas for the rules were being friendly no running inside school and keeping the school tidy.
	Mrs Barlow mentioned that it was coming up to the fruit tuck shop 1^st anniversary on the 23^rd January she asked the children for ideas to celebrate, she did mention about planting some fruit trees to commemorate the occasion.
	There was no other business, Chair closed the meeting.

	First meeting of the term!
	Mrs Jenkins opened meeting children were all welcomed as new council members.
	Sian took the position of being chair as she was re-elected from last year.
	Other position were decided as follows Ben to be Vice Chair, Amy as Secretary Kieran and Levi to be Treasurers and Sally-Ann is to be in charge of opening the suggestion box when needed to.
	The councillors got straight into to discussion, of which were, buying goal posts for when children are playing football down the yard, and maybe painted ones on the wall for the infants.
	To start newspaper club up and running again, they asked for a netball basket frame to be put on the wall for shooting practise and the buddy system was also talked about in great detail again.
	There was also a suggestion of piped music playing in the corridors. They decided that if needed in achiever assembly that if there were issues of anything that there should be a slot for the councillors to get up and talk to the whole school about these issues.
