To commemerate the by centenary of the school in 1929, Arthur Wright published a full, and well researched history of the school.
This began asa lantern lecture by Arthur Wright on the History of the School, delivered by the writer to the Lewis’ School Literary and Debating Society in the month of November, 1909.
To the material gathered for the purpose of the lecture much subsequently was added from various sources, mainly from original documents and records.
Most of the original records, have since been lost. Some original material covering the period 1729 - 2002, is held at the Glamorgan County Record office, Cardiff.
