Throughout the school we operate a "House Points" system. This is in line with and supports the school's assertive discipline approach. Every child, from Nursery to Year 6, has been allocated a coloured house - either Red, Green, Blue or Yellow and are rewarded house points for such things as good behaviour, completion of tasks, being friendly and polite at all times etc... The emphasis being on rewarding success rather than criticising failure. Each week, children are rewarded with the house points from class teachers, classroom assistants or midday supervisors and these are recorded on a class sheet. Every Thursday morning these sheets are collected in and the scores for each coloured house are counted up. The House with the most House Points are then rewarded with a gold cup, which is placed onto our Master Scoreboard in the School Hall. At the end of the year, the House with the most Cups on the Master Scoreboard are presented with a trophy and their coloured ribbons are attached.
