The Project Loan Service provides individual teachers with specially selected resources for all subjects and key stages of the National Curriculum.
How to Borrow
You are very welcome to come to Schools Library Service to select and exchange Project Loan material. Staff will always be pleased to help you. If you are unable to visit, you may send in a completed Project Loan Form by courier, post or fax, or you may complete the on-line form available on this website. For urgent requests please telephone or e-mail. Your Project Loan will be delivered to your school during the first three weeks of term and collected during the last three weeks. To guarantee delivery, requests must reach us three weeks before the end of the preceding term. Requests may be made at any time after the deadline, but delivery of these cannot be guaranteed.
Teachers may borrow a maximum of 60 books and 10 multimedia items at any one time. This can include fiction and non-fiction, as well as Welsh language resources. Your project can include the following, subject to availability:-
Local History |
Teacher Resources |
Special Needs Resources |
Big Books |
Videos |
Stories connected with your topic. |
General fiction. |
CDs |
CD ROMs |
Story Tapes |
Books for group reading (maximum 8 copies of one title) |
Secondary schools may borrow up to 200 project books, for the Library, issued to the person with library responsibility. Loans will be for one term.
As our resources are limited, it would be helpful if you could return your books as soon as you have finished with them, so that other schools may borrow them.
